Photographer and activist Phil Borges, www.philborges.com, will talk about his life’s work — visiting and documenting indigenous and tribal cultures around the world. His books include Tibetan Portrait, Enduring Spirit, and Women Empowered. Conversations in the Humanities, a series of smart conversations about the future and how we can adapt and participate in our changing world, take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre. Beth Brockman, a member of Catholic Workers Peace Team, talks about her work with the Southern Life Community, a group of Catholic workers resisting war, nuclear weapons, the death penalty, militarism, and torture. Brockman was a Peace Corps volunteer in Sri Lanka where she learned that civilians are often caught in the crossfire of war. The lecture takes place in Triton Union 202.

Theater Auditions: Rocky Horror Show

Auditions for Rocky Horror Show will be 6 p.m., Fri., March 12 and 10 a.m., Sat., March 13. Arrive to audition. No appointment necessary. Those auditioning should prepare a short song and come prepared to move. The musical will begin rehearsals on Monday, April 5. Rocky Horror Show runs May 13-22. This stage version of the cult classic is a campy tribute to sci-fi, B movies and rock music.
